Lawrence Schoenhals was the director of choirs at Seattle Pacific College from 1940 to 1968 and directed the School of Music from 1946 to 1968. His choirs performed for the Light and Life Hour, a religious radio program that was recorded and broadcast from the campus of Seattle Pacific from 1945 to 1965. The recordings in this collection include several broadcasts of the Light and Life Hour, the Seattle Pacific A Capella Choir and the Seattle Pacific Oratorio Society singing "Messiah," "Elijah," "The Creation," and "A German Requiem."
