The Anna McDonnell series includes her correspondence; passports; identity cards; materials related to the American Committee for Devastated France and the National League for Woman's Service; will of Anna's sister, Louisa Lander Pullman; and documents from Cypress Lawn Cemetery in San Francisco. Lander family papers include correspondence to and from Edward Lander, Sr., Edward Lander, Jr., Frederick West Lander, and Charles Lander West (Anna's father); wills of Frederick West Lander, Judge Edward Lander, and maternal grandfather Nathaniel West; lists of securities held for the George Singer (Pittsburgh, PA?) estate; roster of the Pacific Mining and Trading Company, 1894, which included Charles Lander West; and biographical information on Frederick West Lander and the Lander family.

This collection consists of various editions of the University's song book, along with special events brochures that provide song lyrics or cheerleading yells. These include the Songs for Tri-Decennial Celebration of June 1, 1904 and a broadsheet of the Mackay Statue by Gutzon Borglum, featuring "Nevada, My Nevada: University Song." There is also an undated mimeographed copy of the lyrics for "Sweet Promised Land of Nevada," written by Walter Van Tilburg Clark. A "Spirit Sheet" by the University of Nevada Rally Committee provides the lyrics to "Alma Mater" and the words for several "Yells" or sporting event cheers. Sheet music for "Alma Mater," also known as "The Mackay Song," identifies Jack H. Morse as the lyricist, with the music adapted by Xi Delta. The 1927 version of "Alma Mater" indicates that the lyrics were written by the Class of 1925.
