Real estate executive, genealogist, and philanthropist of Philadelphia, Pa. Collection consists primarily of correspondence relating to genealogical matters and Solis-Cohen's activities with Foster Home for Hebrew Orphans, Jewish Theological Seminary, Jewish Publication Society, American Jewish Historical Society, Mikveh Israel Congregation, and other groups; together with writings, chiefly on historical topics, including a series of articles entitled "Pen Points from the Past," scrapbooks (1910-1960) relating to personal and business life, and genealogy of the da Silva-Solis family and related families. Much of the genealogical correspondence is with Cecil Roth.
