Memoir of Colonel Karl Houghton's experiences as an army physician in the Philippines from 1940-1945. He recounts the fall of Corregidor, the Bataan Death March, his life as a prisoner of war first at Cabanatuan as well as his move to Fukuoka and then to Korea. This memoir is based on Colonel Houghton's diary kept as a POW supplemented with explanatory notes. Correspondence from the author to LTC Donald H. Henderson is also included.
