Carte de visite of Eugene Bly, Sergeant, Company I, Third Michigan Cavalry. Bly, a resident of Livingston County, Michigan, was 23 years of age when he enlisted as a Private on August 28, 1861, at Fentonville, Michigan. The Third Michigan Cavalry was stationed at De Valls Bluff, Prairie County, Arkansas, the winter of 1864-1865. Bly survived the Civil War.
