North Callahan papers, 1930-
The North Callahan Collection includes his personal papers, including his manuscripts and reviews of his books (Carl Sandburg : Lincoln of Our Literature ; Carl Sandburg : His Life and Works ; Daybreak ; Flight from the Republic : the Tories of the American Revolution ; George Washington : Soldier and Man ; Peggy ; Royal Raiders : the Tories of the American Revolution ; Smoky Mountain Country ; TVA : Bridge Over Troubled Waters ; research material for his books ; and lecture notes, tests, exams and related material from his teaching at New York University. There is additional material including photographs, plaques and awards, material dealing with Columbia University, his military career, his various association memberships and speaking engagements. In addition to his personal papers, Dr. Callahan also donated his personal research library, which totaled over 1100 volumes.
