Collection is open for research.This collection consists of a two page indenture transferring 500 acres of land in St. Phillip's Parish, Georgia (now mostly Bryan and Bulloch counties) from Samuel and Mary Miller and John and Elizabeth Graves to Peter Lavien and John Rean on 10 May 1777.Samuel and Mary Miller were married and resided in Sunbury, Georgia. John and Elizabeth Graves were married and also resided in Sunbury, Georgia. The Graves and Miller couples sold 500 acres of land to Peter Lavien and John Rean on 10 May 1777 in St. Phillip's Parish, Georgia (now mostly Bryan and Bulloch counties). Peter Lavien was a half-brother of Alexander Hamilton and had land holdings in Georgia, South Carolina, and St. Croix.
