Notes and summaries
Swedish painter and traveler, worked in England from 1853 to ca. 1870.
Lundgren writes to a publisher that he does not know how long Queen Victoria will want him to remain at Balmoral Castle. He is working on the blocks for the Spanish book, and will finish the last drawing as soon as he is back in town (1859 Sept. 29). The artist writes from Stockholm to a friend, presumably in England, that he is sending him the portrait he has promised to keep under his care. It was meant as a present for St. Valentine's day, but Lundgren hopes "it will now be for some other saint day." He will also send two smaller drawings for the spring exhibition (1874 Jan 9).
