General description of the collection: The Carlos C. Alden photograph collection includes photos reflective of the career Colonel (COL) Carlos C. Alden in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force. He served in the 509th Parachute Infantry during World War II, participating in campaigns in North Africa and Italy. He retired in 1964 as a medical officer in the U.S. Air Force. Most of the photos in the collection are from the World War II era

The Henry Ford - Benson Ford Research Center
The papers include correspondence, newspaper clippings, programs and reminiscences from 1928-1960 documenting Griffin's career as a violinist. Griffin provided English translations for all correspondence and newspaper clippings written in Swedish. Many of the newspaper clippings in English are also annotated with her version of the same story. The collection also contains correspondence from 1978-79 between Beatrice Griffin and Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village Archives staff. In addition, the correspondence contains detailed reminiscences of meeting Henry Ford in 1930

The album documenting the 1921 camping trip is comprised of black and white photographs in two sizes: 11 in. x 11 in. and 7 in. x 5 in. Each of the smaller images are captioned. The photographs depict campsites and camp activities, including horseback riding, target shooting, cooking, meals shared at a large table, log splitting, musical diversions, reading, relaxing, etc. This album is nearly identical to a Henry Ford album of same main title; both were originally gifts from Harvey Firestone

The collection consists of papers and original works by Lucy Stanton from 1910-1985. The original works include 34 miniatures, 3 oil on canvas paintings, a series of preliminary sketches for her "Southern Historical Series," and 2 bronze medals awarded to the artist. The miniatures, which were painted on ivory, consist of self-portraits, depictions of African Americans, and portraits of other individuals in the Netherlands, Paris, and Georgia. Also included is a small collection of original and photocopied personal papers, photographs of Lucy Stanton and of her work, news articles about the artist, and materials concerning the writing, printing, and publishing of W. Stanton Forbes' book LUCY STANTON, ARTIST (1975), including correspondence, manuscripts, proof sheets, and a sound recording of a radio interview with the author
