Scope and Contents Consists of books, music, films, personal papers, artifacts and sound recordings collected by the staff of the Music and Performing Arts Library and the University of Illinois School of Music documenting the life and career of Harry Partch, and those associated with him, throughout his career as a composer and writer. Scope and Contents Consists of 27 reel-to-reel recordings and sheet music of musical works by University of Illinois composition faculty and guest composers. These items document the Chamber Music and Contemporary Arts Festivals that took place between 1954 and 1990, as well as the compositional output of the faculty.
