The Henry Ford - Benson Ford Research Center
The Small Accessions collection is an assembled collection consisting of small accruals of personal papers, corporate records, and miscellaneous assembled collections. Accessions are organized into five series: Assembled collections series; Ford Motor Company Corporate records series; Non-Ford Corporate records series; Edison Institute records series, and Personal papers series. Througout all of the series, the bulk of the items have some connection with Henry Ford, the Ford Family, Ford Motor Company, or Henry Ford's other interests including the Edison Institute (Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum, now The Henry Ford), the Henry Ford Trade School, and Village Industries. Along with an accession number, each accession has a name and a date. Within the finding aid, general parenthetical subject terms have been added to some collection names to give a better idea of the contents. General description of the collection: The Franklin F. Bell photograph collection includes photos on early Army aviation. The collection begins with Bell posing in his flying gear next to the nose of an airplane. There are nine photos of airplanes, most of them taken around 1918. There are three photos of training exercises taken in 1938. The collection contains three photographs of a cartoon called "Maggie" depicting soldiers' lives in World War II and the Battle of Brest. Three additional photographs capture images from World War II. A fourth photo captures the Meritorious Service Unit Plaque of the 373rd Engineer General Service Regiment. This sign stands outside of Regimental Headquarters at Fort Belvoir as a reminder of the regiment's service overseas. Most of the photos have been annotated on their fronts in pen

Two series of collector cards featuring relief halftone prints of various Korean War era aircraft and combat scenes from the Korean War. Aircraft images include model information for the particular airplane featured. Korean War images include a descriptive text about the particular featured scene. The cards were collected by John Andrews while he was a child living in Janesville, Wisconsin during the war. Also included are two humerus romantic cards that were also collected by Andrews during the same time period
