The records of the Baptist Heritage Study range in date from 1895 to 1994, although some of the material is undated. The bulk of the collection dates from 1991 to 1994. The collection primarily contains institutional records concerning the formation of the Baptist Heritage Study and the pursuance of a Lilly Foundation Planning Grant. These records include correspondence, memos, reference materials, meeting notes, transcripts of conversations, and other materials related to Baylor University's application for a Lilly Foundation planning grant. Correspondence makes up the bulk of the collection. The final draft of the planning grant serves as an important piece of this collection
