Reading files consist ofall outgoing letters generated in the Office of Vice President for University College/Academic Affairs and were arranged chronologically as a reference source for the vice president. These files date from July 1989 to August 1990 when Dr. William A. Sibley became the new vice president for Academic Affairs. During McWiliams' tenure as acting vice president, the use of the designation "University College" was dropped in favor of "Academic Affairs." The letters in this series document all aspects of McWilliams' activities and responsibilities as vice president including academic and administrative policy development, funding issues, faculty and student affairs, and program development. Much of the correspondence is of a routine nature and involves office expenses and procedures
