Three diplomas, all printed with additional information added in handwriting in black ink, including: 1) an acidic, paper Common School diploma for School District No. 6 Union Township, Isabella County (Mich.), lists classes completed and grades earned, signed by district board members, a county commissioner, a teacher, and the State Superintendent of Public Instruction L.L. Wright (printed signature) on June 8, 1907. The diploma was printed by W.M. Welch Diploma House, Chicago. It is illustrated with scrolls, a woman with books and globe, has an attached gold seal (partial), and measures 14 x 17 inches. 2) Central State Normal School (now Central Michigan University, CMU) vellum life certificate diploma, lists classes completed, was signed by President Grawn and officers of the State Board of Education on June 25, 1913.
