The collection comprises published 25 music scores produced by Otto Frohlich and a book called "Logengrin: a Romantic Opera in Three Acts" written and composed by Richard Wagner, published by G. Schirmer, New York in 1897. Frohlich composed more than 35 compositions during his long career as a professor of music and composer, only selected scores were donated to the University of Central Florida Libraries which include Andantino, Badinage, Composer's Birthday-Party, Divertimento, Edelweiss Symphonic Poem, Essay for String Orchestra, Festival Overture, Happy Birthday, Homage to Miami - Academic Overture, Intermezzo, Invocation, Legende Poem, Little Serenade, Lohengrin a Romantic Opera, Lotos, Flower Lotosblume, Lullaby and Scherzo, Melody, Oxford String Quartet, Pax Aeterna, Prelude, Romantic Suite: Petite Suite, Serenade, Sugar and Sprice, The Loreley, and Vision

Most are printed reproductions but there are some copied by Lowry, as well as three of Lowry's own compositions. The collection also includes correspondence from music publishers, and composers who Lowry contacted with questions and requests for music, including Charles Mills, Robert Palmer, Kaikhosru Shapurji Sorabji, Josef Alexander, Lockrem Johnson, Robert Kurka, Vincent Persichetti, Karol Rathaus, and Geirr Tveitt. Charles Mills wrote to Lowry for nearly five years, and his letters detail life as a struggling musician/composer trying to make a living in New York City. The collection also includes some family correspondence, primarily to Earl from his son Jack; Lowry's personal notes and notebooks, and a few programs with him listed as a performer.
