This collection contains general correspondence, which primarily concerns the organization of the Council, minutes, bylaws, constitutions, membership lists, a press release, reports, subject files, miscellany, and clippings. A large subject file contains material pertaining to the Council's committee on Indian affairs, Indian poverty, Hill 57, the Rocky Boy's Reservation, Sister Providencia, etc. The collection contains material relating to the Montana Conference on Social Welfare, the Montana Society for Mental Health, the Montana Health Planning Committee, the Business and Professional Women's Club of Great Falls, and the Great Falls chapter of the American Association of University Women

Minutes, reports, and scrapbooks of the Infant Welfare Society, IWS, organized in 1911 to distribute pure milk to families in some of the city's poorer neighborhoods and to provide nurses to instruct mothers in the care of their babies; and of its predecessors the Children's Hospital Society and the Milk Commission of Chicago. Also present are later reports, press releases, minutes, programs, brochures, and newsclippings of IWS, especially of its Woman's Auxiliary in the city and suburbs, which raised funds and provided volunteers for IWS stations in Chicago that offered prenatal care and services for mothers, infants, and young children. The IWS's initial goal was to lower the infant mortality rate in the city; later services expanded to include mental health and welfare

This collection consists of two separate groups of records pertaining to James Silver, acquired in two accessions. Accession 76-40 consists of five boxes containing correspondence, writings, research materials, pamphlets, speeches, and newspaper clippings documenting Silver's academic career and events at the University of Mississippi from 1949 to 1965, with the bulk of material documenting the period from 1959 to 1965. Accession 87-25 consists of 50 boxes containing correspondence, writings, publications, research notes, legal documents, speeches, personal papers, printed material, newspaper clippings, photographs, and audio recordings from 1935 to 1986. The collection documents a range of topics, including the integration of the University of Mississippi, positive and negative reactions to Mississippi: The Closed Society, and Silver's numerous research projects, speaking engagements, and teaching assignments

The Child Family Papers consists chiefly of letters written and collected by members of the Child family from 1833 to 1916. The bulk of the letters were exchanged between Frank Child and his mother and sisters from approximately 1880 to 1910. Other correspondents include his father, Francis James Child, and aunt, Adie Bigelow. The letters provide insight into the personal and professional lives of the Child family, a close-knit family who shared common interests in philanthropy and the arts. The letters also provide some general insight into nineteenth-century Cambridge life and Harvard history. Much of the material describes the day-to-day activities of the Child family including social activities, family and neighborhood news, holidays, travel, lectures, entertainment, shopping, fashion, the arts, contemporary fiction, the health of family members, nineteenth-century medical and dental procedures, Frank's career, and the activities of their family dog, Fergus.
