Office files of Dean George O. Ferguson, Jr., consist chiefly of minutes (reports) by the "Examining Committee" on interviews of prospective University of Virginia students in New York City. The minutes give the names and addresses of the applicants, committee vote or ranking and assorted comments on family, high school work, financial need, personal appearance and personality, and special circumstances. Of interest are occasional anti-semitic or other disparaging comments on several of the candidates and their parents

The southeastern Utah oral histories (1963-1984) consist of personal recollections, in the form of transcripts and stories, from people who lived in southeastern Utah and were part of its history. Each of the stories centers around the individual perspective of the interviewee. The collection covers a wide range of issues from the early Mormon settlements in Mexico to uranium mining or Navajo trading.
