In 1927, and for several years during the winter, she was chartered by the Pere Marquette Railway Co. of Detroit, Mich. and stationed off Ludington, Mich. to help keep open a channel for their ferries

Oral history interviews with nineteenth century settlers of New Mexico -- Includes 520 reel to reel audiotapes and 385 typed transcripts. Interviews with ranchers, miners, hunters, sheriffs, naturalists, archeologists and journalists, most from the Silver City area, recall everyday life and important events from the 1860s to the 1950s. Interviews were conducted by Lou Blachly, a founding member of the Pioneers Foundation. Includes personal reminiscences from; John B. Baley, Henry Brock, J. Stokley Ligon, Burton Mossman, Marvin Powe, Agnes Meader Snider, Montague Stevens, A.J. Stockbridge, Marietta Wetherill, Wayne Whitehill and Wayne Wilson, among others. Also contains tapes of Lou Blachly reading from his diaries, 1939-57 and reporting on the work of the Pioneers Foundation

The Congregational Association of New Mexico records contain programs and annual reports of various organizations related to Congregational churches in Albuquerque and New Mexico. Handwritten programs cover the first years of the association (1884-1895). Printed material includes meeting programs for the Congregational Association of New Mexico, the Conference of Congregational Churches and the New Mexico Christian Endeavor Convention. Congregational Education Society tracts that relate to New Mexico are included. In addition, short recollections of early members and a brief history are contained in a 1980 addendum to the published history of the First Congregational Church of Albuquerque

The collection is divided into two overlapping series: Administrative Files, and Projects. Administrative files comprise the bulk of the collection. The series includes correspondence, board of directors meeting minutes, annual reports, membership lists, financial records, and grant related materials. The Projects series includes files relating to specific projects that N.M.A.F. was involved with, including exhibitions, field trips to New Mexico towns and Pueblos including Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Socorro, Gallup, Taos and Picuris, church restoration projects, and programs such as "Celebrate Youth" and "Children and Architecture" (1986-1995)
