Issues of The Record are arranged chronologically and span from the year 1974 to 1999. Later issues of The Record, beginning with the August 17, 1998 edition, are printed copies of the web version of the publication in its entirety. One earlier edition from 1997 is also a copy of the web version, these are noted in the container list. All other issues are originals that were printed and distributed to students, a copy of each was maintained in a binder in the library, which included copies of the web version. The run of issues is not complete and numbering is inconsistent (website copies were not assigned volume and issue numbers). The Archives owns 25 volumes with the largest gap in coverage between the years of 1974-1979 and the bulk of material between the years of 1993-1997. The Record chronicles life at Chicago-Kent for students and faculty. Of particular interest are notices of awards, upcoming speakers, and an overview of weekly life for members of the law school community
