The entire collection is arranged into 3 series, chronologically where possible, and consists of Annual Announcements/Bulletins of the IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law and its previous institutions. Many of the publications in this series are designated “Official” and pages are marked with handwritten corrections to dates and names. Several copies belonged to Dean Zacharias and include correction notices from alumni and other notes. Records from several years are missing or were not released, including 1909, 1924-1935, 1937-1940, 1942, 1943, 1952, 1959, 1960, 1963, and 1972

The collection is arranged into 6 series and 4 subseries and is almost entirely made up of conference materials, proceedings books, and materials used for instruction. Conference materials for the First Annual Personal Computing Strategies for Lawyers, held in 1985, are missing from the collection. The bulk of the collection consists of conference proceedings from various conferences held at Chicago-Kent or sponsored by Chicago-Kent; the Miscellaneous subseries includes materials from conferences including CLC faculty published materials, and materials from conferences hosted by Chicago-Kent with CLC’s participation. The collection also includes complete copies of large firm surveys from 1988-1995, with some incomplete material on surveys from 1985-1987

The Meeting materials and records of the Law School Board of Overseers collection is arranged into two series, and contain agenda for periodic meetings, member lists, and supporting materials as well as minutes of previous meetings. Of particular interest in meeting materials is information regarding the groundbreaking and construction of the Downtown Center at 565 W. Adams Street (materials from years 1990-1992) and information regarding the fundraising campaign for the new building

The Commentator documents the growth and development of the Chicago-Kent College of Law over time, as well as many of the activities organized on campus. Also documented are dean and faculty promotions, several moves to new buildings, and notable alumni news. The Commentator collection is arranged into one series including the entirety of available issues, and organized chronologically by date instead of volume and issue number. Publication was not consistent for several years, and volume and issue numbers were often used incorrectly or in some cases were not used at all

The Alumni Directories contain official lists of graduates from the years 1889 to 2002 (living graduates only at time of printing for each volume after 1969). These lists include students from Chicago College of Law, Kent College of Law, and Chicago-Kent College of Law

The Walter L. Oblinger, Jr. Papers collection is arranged into 5 series, and contains records dating from 1935 to 1990 filling 13 document boxes and 1 flat box. A majority of the material is made up of notebooks from Oblinger’s law studies (and those of his wife’s studies). A large part of the collection is research and original clippings and photographs supporting the writing of Oblinger’s memoir. The collection also includes notebooks and binders from Oblinger’s law practice
