The collection, arranged chronologically, spans the years 1917-1929, with no 1921 edition, which may not have been produced as the 1925 edition is labeled “Volume 8.” 1917 Copy 1 is a special edition, leather- bound, with gold leaf edges. 1925 Copy 1 belonged to Webster H. Burke, Dean (1903-1918), whose name is embossed with gold on the front cover. 1929 copy 6 belonged to freshman Hartman Schwartz, Phi Alpha Delta, and bears his signature on the front cover. The Walter L. Oblinger, Jr. Papers collection is arranged into 5 series, and contains records dating from 1935 to 1990 filling 13 document boxes and 1 flat box. A majority of the material is made up of notebooks from Oblinger’s law studies (and those of his wife’s studies). A large part of the collection is research and original clippings and photographs supporting the writing of Oblinger’s memoir. The collection also includes notebooks and binders from Oblinger’s law practice
