This collection documents the operational activities of the organization, primarily during its first two decades, and includes correspondence, notes, articles, newspaper clippings, director’s research, grant applications, financial documents and administrative records. It also includes material documenting the Kyong Park’s parallel professional focus while directing Storefront.
The Collection contains 600+ original works on paper and small number of three-dimensional objects produced by program participants for exhibitions and events. All three collections document early work by several now nationally and internationally recognized artists, architects and designers including Steven Holl, Vito Acconci among others.
The collection consists of records documenting all aspects of Storefront’s exhibition process including conception and research, implementation, and outreach. Records include administrative files, artist profiles, ephemera, financial documents, promotional and press material, correspondence, photographic elements, project proposals, audiovisual media and video components.
