A series of letters written almost entirely to Alexion's wife, Olive, giving details of flight training from several training camps such as: Nashville Army Air Center; U.S. Army Air Corps, Maxwell Field, Alabama; Army Air Forces Gunnery School, Tyndall Field, Panama City, Florida; Lodwick School of Aeronautics, Lakeland, Florida; Army Air Force Navigation School, Selman Field, Monroe, Lousisiana; Kearney Army Air Field, Kearney, Nebraska. Most of the letters are undated. In his letters beginning in February 1945, Alexion writes about the Pacific War, detailing what he saw in the Marshalls, Marianas, Iwo Jima, Nagoya and on fire raids over Tokyo
