The Principals and Presidents collection is composed of correspondence and memoranda, biographies written by school staff and other sources, publications, tributes, personal items, reports, speeches, memorials, items relating to retirement celebrations, memorial service programs, notebooks, newsletters, committee notes, notes and transcriptions for speeches and radio programs, awards and honors, conference material, documents related to organizations outside Towson, documents, photographs, inauguration materials, resumes, scripts and schedules for building openings and other ceremonies, and testimonies before the Maryland State Legislature. Records of the College/University Archives consist of correspondence, policies, questions frequently asked of the archives, documents relating to the student practicum established by the History Department, materials from exhibits, and publications about the history of Towson University. The correspondence comprises the bulk of the collection, consisting of letters, memorandums, and e-mails between Dorothy W.
