Students include composers Istavan Anhalt, Easley Blackwood, Mark Blitzstein, Theodore Chanler, Kenton Coe, Paul Des Marais, Alexei Haieff, Karel Husa, Robert Moevs, Douglas Moore, Thea Musgrave, Daniel Pinkham, Ned Rorem, Roger Sessions, Elie Siegmeister, Harold Shapero, Bernard Rogers, Louise Talma, Virgil Thomson, Luise Vosgerchian, and Joseph Wagner. Also included are several letters from students, in French or English, which are mostly letters of transmittal accompanying the compositions.
