Leon Ross Smith, Jr. (1929-2004), graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and Indiana University, began teaching music theory at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point in 1970 and established its Electronic Music Studio in 1978 -- He also composed music, served in several music societies, and worked with regional choirs and churches.
