Leonora Wood Armsby served as Managing Director and then as President and Managing Director of the San Francisco Symphony Association. She also served as Managing Director of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Armsby was responsible for engaging Pierre Monteux as conductor of the Symphony.
