Poems about the robin, thrush, finches, titmouse, wren, lark, goldfinch, pheasant, owl, and duck. Initial letters are illustrated in color with birds, and on each page is an illustration of a feather among leaves and flowers.
The title page is the word "Feathers" with birds sitting on each letter, the whole surrounded by floating feathers.
The text is written in an italic hand in brownish ink with some lines in blue. "Marie Angel pinxit et scripsit 1957"--Verso of last leaf.
Bound in full vellum, four slips partly exposed on the front and back. The front cover is illustrated with a single feather in the center.
