Digby Blight was born in Merredin, W.A. on 19 September 1931. He describes his childhood, education, and family's circumstances. He relates how he started his first job with the Forests Department and tells of his career in the Western Australian Public Service which saw him rise to the position of Public Sector Standards Commissioner, retiring in 1997.
