The collection consists of a scrapbook of materials (periodical clippings, photographs and correspondence) relating to Williamson's book Curious Survivals, a work on Victorian social practices in early twentieth-century England. It also includes loose items found with the scrapbook.
George Charles Williamson was a journalist, author, historian and a Catholic convert. Williamson wrote extensively on British art, culture, archeology and literature.
