Manuscripts written for an underground newspaper published in San Francisco during the 1960s from some of the era's most prominent writers including; Carol Berge, ́ Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Lenore Kandel, Jack Micheline, Gary Snyder, and William Wantling. The manuscripts focus on the dominant issues of the day such as spirituality, sexuality, drugs, and politics. The collection includes several letters from freelancers and some pasteups of particular issues. At least some of the correspondence is addressed to the newspaper's editor, John Bryan.
