Gerard F. McCauley was a literary agent who in the early 1960s established the Gerard McCauley Agency, Inc., a literary agency based in Katonah, New York that specialized in general non-fiction and history. He was noted for representing academics and other scholars, including Ken Burns, Donald Hall, Nathaniel Branden, William H. McNeill, Stephen B. Oates, and Robert Sobel.
