The Vortex and the Bad Boy Concert was held at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University on April 7, 2013. The major highlight of this concert was the Southeastern premiere of the 1924 version of George Antheil's Ballet mécanique edited by Paul Lehrman and performed by the Vortex Percussion Ensemble, which was synchronized with the film of the same name by Fernand Léger. The concert was preceded by a symposium and an exhibition of robotics inside and outside the Ingram Hall lobby. This collection consists of publicity, promotional materials, reviews, programs, and videorecordings.
The collection is open for research use. Materials can be accessed on-site only and may not be copied physically nor electronically.
