Douglas Rafter was a municipal organist for the city of Portland, Me., from 1976 to 1981, as well as playing the organ in many Maine churches, including Immanuel Baptist Church in Portland. He also performed all over the country in various venues. Mr. Rafter was also the organist for the Portland Symphony Orchestra. He died in 2013 at the age of 97 (born in 1915).
