First edition of piece illustrating the Berkshire Knitting Mills during the twenties, when they, in a year, produced 25 million pairs of women's full-fashioned hosiery with seam in the back. The stereographs illustrate the exterior of the mill after it was expanded in 1914 to a five story building as well as many interior views of the factory including the Winding Room, Legging Department, etc. The company still operates today as a division of Mayer-Beaton Corp., producing Berkshire brand hosiery.
