W. F. Foster's survey of the property of Col. John Overton in the eighth and eleventh civil districts of Davidson County, traversed by the Nashville & Decatur Railroad and the Nashville to Franklin Turnpike and showing the metes and bounds of various tracts. Included are adjoining landowners' names, house structures, a racetrack, and springs.
This map served as Exhibit A to John Overton's will from Sept. 30, 1898. This John Overton died two years earlier and was the son of Andrew Jackson's associate of the same name.
