The collection is arranged into two series. The majority of the collection consists of an incomplete run of issues of the Kappa Beta Pi Quarterly, which ran from 1916-1973. Several of the issues in the collection were owned by founding member Sue Brown Hassell, others were owned by members Grace B. Stiles and Elizabeth Salisbury. Other items in the collection are from the personal records of Dean Zacharias and include his personal correspondence with sorority members, clippings, and invitations to anniversary events. Also included are the original certificate presented upon organization in 1908 and the Articles of Incorporation created in 1928.
Kappa Beta Pi was the first legal sorority in the United States.
The IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law Archives is available to the public by appointment.
