Donald Erb was a composer and educator who enjoyed a long career at the Cleveland Institute of Music. Born January 17, 1927, Youngstown, Ohio; died August 12, 2008, Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Contains score and parts for the original version of Reconnaissance in 4 movements, composed in 1967; contains an additional score and parts for the newly composed 4th movement, added to the 5-movement version of the work in approximately 1969. The 5-movement version is heard on the LP.
