This collection consists of a typescript titled, "Minutes of the Catawissa Monthly Meeting and the Roaring Creek Monthly Meeting, Columbia County, Pa." and a pamphlet titled, "History," of the meetings published by Willard R. Rhoads in 1963.
Columbia County, Pennsylvania, Friends (Quakers) established meetings in Catawissa and Roaring Creek before 1787, at which time they agreed to worship together alternating each week at each other's meeting houses. The two meetings continued to intermingle into the 1800s, as the number of Quaker meetings in Columbia County grew to five by 1900.
